Part Two of the 89th Newry Musical Feis runs from Monday 27th of March to Saturday the 8th of April in Newry Town Hall and the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre.

Part Two:

Three Sections – Speech & Drama [Open]; Traditional Irish Music; and Music as follows:

Speech & Drama [Open]: Monday 27th – Friday 31st March inclusive in The Sean Hollywood Arts Centre

Traditional Irish Music: Sunday 2nd April – Morning & Afternoon Sessions in The Sean Hollywood Arts Centre; Evening Session in Newry Town Hall

Music: Monday 3rd – Saturday 8th April inclusive in two main venues The Sean Hollywood Arts Centre and Newry Town Hall.  Other venues tailored to the particular needs of specific classes will be in operation and these details will be provided in the Music Section Programme.

Part Three:

Three Sections – Ballet & Theatre Dance; Speech & Drama [Schools]; and Irish Dance [Confined] as follows:

Ballet & Theatre Dance: Thursday 20th – Saturday 22nd April and Monday 24th – Thursday 27th April in Newry Town Hall

Speech & Drama [Schools]: Monday 1st – Friday 5th May inclusive in two venues - The Sean Hollywood Arts Centre and Newry Town Hall.

Irish Dance [Confined]: Saturday 6th – Monday 8th May in Newry Town Hall.


Newry Musical Feis is one of the largest of its kind worldwide.  

There are approximately 14,000 entries each year; three sessions per day, and the equivalent of 39 days of performance across seven Sections.

Classes are scheduled for Newry Town Hall and the adjoining Sean Hollywood Arts Centre.

Entries may be submitted in the following ways: (i) electronically through the Newry Musical Feis website; (ii) by post using downloadable entry forms; or, (iii) by post using entry forms available directly from the appropriate Section Secretary. Entry fees may be submitted through the website using the secure online payment system or by cheque/postal order mailed to the Section Secretary.  

Regulations and procedures relating to the Newry Musical Feis Safeguarding Policy must be read and complied with when entries are being submitted.
