He stated, “I am honoured to once again be contesting an election for the DUP in my home constituency of Newry & Armagh. Since my commencement in elected politics I have continually worked to make Newry & Armagh a better place for everyone in the area.”

He stated, “The poll on 8th June is an important election for many reasons not least the fact that people must use this vital opportunity to record their support for the Union and our DUP vision for a stronger Northern Ireland within the United Kingdom.”

He continued, “Each election is of course important and each chance the public have to record their democratic vote has great significance. That is why I will be encouraging everyone throughout the constituency to vote Irwin X and ensure that strong representation is delivered at Westminster and that we have a strong hand in the important Brexit negotiation process.”

He concluded, “In my Assembly role over the past ten years I have dedicated myself to delivering assistance to the electorate. Working for the people gives me great satisfaction and I look forward to once again getting onto the doorsteps and asking the public to once again support me.”
