The Chairperson stated "Larry and Pat have celebrated entering into their 60s by participating in Marathons and Half Marathons to raise much needed funds for the Southern Area Hospice. The two popular local men are great examples of the charitable and community spirit that exists throughout Newry, Mourne & Down, and I as Chairperson am happy and proud to support such initiatives" said Roisin, and she continued

"Local and national charities benifit and survive by the efforts of ordinary people and the generosity of many. This efforts are a credit to all involved and are something that we as a community should be very proud of".

Thanking the Chairperson for her support and best wishes Larry Mc Cabe said,

"Our thanks to Roisin and all those who have supported our fundraising for the Southern Area Hospice. We've enjoyed the past year using our 60th Birthdays to raise money for the Hospice. Whilst the legs may be shorter and the stomachs bigger, our hearts are in the right place".

Larry & Pat known locally as the "Boyz" will be hosting one final fundraising event, a Table Quiz in The Yellow Heifer Bar & Restaurant in Camlough on Wednesday the 30th of August at 9pm.
