Christmas light switching on ceremonies will take place across the district later this month with Newry being the first to get the lighting up treatment on Thursday 23 November.

Newry will be a hub of activity in the Event Space at Marcus Square, Hill Street from 5pm on Thursday 23 November as the area hosts the Christmas Lights Switch On. A Santa Fun Run will take place at 5.30pm and the winner will be announced just in time for Santa’s arrival at 6.45pm followed by a pyrotechnic display.

Oishin and Joel Barr (aged 8) visited Santa a little early this year. They can't wait to see him again!
