Gaelic Speaker Passes Away at the Age of 110.
Gaelic speakers and students will be sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Mary McQuade, of Omeath, which took place on Thursday at the remarkable age of 110 years.
She was the oldest person in Ireland, spoke English and Irish fluently, and learners from all parts of the country were delighted to hear her speak.
Another link of the olden time and the traditions of the Gael has thus been snapped.
