" Newry Festival and the Lislea Festival are both affiliated to the Drama Council of Ireland. Newry Festival runs for nine nights with all the Plays competing in the Open Section and the nine Plays in Lislea compete in the Confined Section. Both Festivals compliment each other and provide eighteen enjoyable nights of Theatre in the District.
"I note that you have wonderful support from the local Business and Professional Companies in the Area. I also note the excellent Programme of Plays and I urge the public to come along to Newry Town Hall and enjoy this week of Theatre."
The Chairperson concluded by congratulating the festival committee and passing on her wishes for the continued success of the festival.
The Festival also receives generous support from Glen Dimplex Group, Danske Bank Newry, Tesco Newry and the Canal Court Hotel.
