The comedy takes place in three different bedrooms positioned on the stage and it’s only as the play progresses that you discover they are all interrelated and chaos ensues!

Adjudicator Michael O’Hara commenting on the play “Over the course of one night one outrageously selfish couple parade their problems around these bedrooms exposing the cracks in other peoples marriages”

“The setting was good wasn’t it, and to get three bedrooms into a narrow place like this, it was extremely good, the were very well made up beds. Thing of course is, the space to work in is a bit cramped, but what else could you do. This isn’t London’s West End, this is Newry Town Hall, but I think they did organise and position stuff, and you saw that this bedroom up here is on a height and a level above the others, but more than that, what happened was the lighting people worked hard on isolating, very very carefully each of the rooms so that the lighting worked well.”

“I would like to say however, whenever you do light up areas, acting areas, once you have lit that up, you are allowed to use more space than that which is totally confined by the acting area which has been lit. In other words there is scope for the players to move out of the play, to take up a bit more space, to be a little more expansive and where necessary to be a bit more energised, there is nothing wrong with that. Technically absolutely and theatrically nothing wrong with that at all, but this team were playing in the lighting area, and there is nothing wrong with that either. This is just a notion, a thought to keep in mind.”

“The cast, and I’ve got to say, I liked this cast. Now I’m going to say a few things to them but I did like this cast. As far as I was concerned ladies and gentlemen there were no what you might call in the business, weak links in the cast. These were all confident and competent players”

Concluding “I say to Hollywood, We are grateful for the entertainment tonight, they gave us smiles, and I do think that based on a couple of small things that I have pointed out to. There is more there that is in the piece, but this is a talented cast and I think they can deliver those bits and pieces.”
