Commenting on the festival Scott Marshall, Adjudicator said  “This has been a delightful Festival and I want to thank the committee for their invitation for me to return to Newry and I want to thank them for their outstanding hospitality

“it is something to be cherished today. The Drama Festival circuit in Ireland is stronger and better structured than in England, Scotland and Wales. It’s a delight to adjudicate a festival in Ireland and presentations are overall of a higher standard as well. I’m just back from two festivals in England, from Birmingham and Worcester and they were lovely but the standard of work here in the Irish festival movement is tremendous”

The comment was also made that there are now no full length festivals in Wales and a number are closing in England. “The circuit here in Ireland is so strong and it is something that I hope you will continue to support and the vibrancy too that makes it so unique on these islands.”

The committee and all involved are already looking forward to the 2016 Festival!
