Newry woman Nuala Donnelly is bringing a theatre production to her home town for the first time next month.

Nuala the Artistic Director of Pintsized Productions NI is bringing the company's one man show "Private Peaceful" by Michael Morpurgo, to the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre on Wednesday 27 November for one night only!

Private Peaceful relives the life of Private Tommo Peaceful, a young first world war soldier awaiting the firing squad at dawn. During the night, he looks back at his short but joyful past growing up in rural Devon: his exciting first days at school; the accident in the forest that killed his father; his adventures with Molly, the love of his life; and the battles and injustices of war that brought him to the front line.

“I’ve had nearly eighteen years of yesterdays and tomorrows, and tonight I must remember as many of them as I can. Tonight, more than any other night of my life, I want to feel alive!”

The production could also prove invaluable to local students as the Novel it is based is on some school syllabi.

Previously Nuala a student of Our Lady's Grammar School in the city has performed with the Bosco Drama Group, Newry Musical Society, Newry Panto, Newpoint Players and the Sheridan Stage School. She obtained a First Class Honours Degree in Drama from QUB and was appointed the Artistic Director of Pintsized Productions in March 2018.

Pintsized Productions's recipe is unique and innovative.
