A display documenting 150 years of Newry Show is on show at Newry Library from 3rd to 28th December. The exhibition was funded by Heritage Lottery.

Show chairperson Will Glendinning said “We are very pleased that this excellent exhibition which chronicles the history of the show over the past 150 years is being displayed at the library in Newry. This will give the public a brilliant opportunity to drop into the library for a break in their Christmas shopping and reflect on the how Newry Show has been an integral part of Newry over the last one and a half centuries,  making Newry Show one of the oldest shows in Ireland. We plan to mount the exhibition in Warrenpoint and Castlewellan Libraries in the New Year.

Plans are already underway for the Show in 2019 as we enter into the future. We will be building on the success of 2018 with increased exhibitions and showing of livestock and horses.

We wish to thank Heritage Lottery for their support we will be posting the exhibition on our new website in 2019 so that there is permanent record of the exhibition.”

Opening during normal library hours. Closed Christmas Day, St Stephens Day.
