A MESSAGE FROM FESTIVAL PRESIDENT: TOMMY SANDS

Céad míle fáilte and welcome tae the thirty third year of a festival that will watch the toddlers who danced in the square return with their own toddlers and dance again all the more.

This unique celebration of the rich cultural traditions of Rostrevor and its environs welcomes the participation of musicians, artists and friends from around the world and offers all the chance to meet and enjoy each other's company once again.

A time too for a refreshing young committee to find wings to make this 33rd perhaps the best yet, recall the inspiration and friendship of wonderful committees down the years and remember in a special way those who are sadly no longer with us.

This mighty programme's wide embrace of cultural activities, designed for the relaxation and edification of all as always encourages respect for our beautiful nature and special regard for those kindly local residents who may be trying to get a night's sleep in the midst of it all.

Regardless from what townland or continent you hail you are hearty welcome.

"The craic is always good no matter how you spell it.
For that's the way the light comes in, a smile will always tell it."

Tommy Sands

Fiddler’s Green Festival President
