if you are a fan of Street Art Don't miss this exhibition

On loan from Newry 2020 Festival of Windows, these 8' X 8' paintings are something else!

On display in the Gallery in Newry City Library until 31 August,

The eight pieces on display are a sample of the street art that Newry 2020 has collected from three years of carrying out the street art event, called The Festival of Windows in Sunny June.

The works are varied and all use aerosol spray as the medium of choice on 8'x8' boards. The art is carried out live on the day and is only displayed for that day.

Using the Library as a platform it takes the street art into a gallery setting and gives the works a new significance. The art embraces the walls and encompasses the viewer and allows a complete emersion into street art.

Newry 2020 have been delighted in finding amazing talent and will continue to strive to find new artists in the future. See art from DMC, Jonny McKerr, Conor McGinley, Friz and KEvlar.

Garry McElherron, who helps coordinate the event, continues to be amazed at the talent and broad spectrum and diversity of styles on exhibition.

But most of all the enthusiasm that is evident in the works of art. They would grace any wall in any establishment and be a major talking point. the exhibition is on for a few weeks only so get down to Newry library.
