“We welcomed our first baby in November 2014 and have continued to provide this service to low risk women. The number of births has increased yearly and last year, 240 babies were born in the MLU.”

She added: “I would like to acknowledge the hard work of all our staff and what we have achieved so far. A special mention to our Lead Midwife Joanne McGlade and Sister Valerie Porter who were both instrumental in establishing the MLU.”
