Police in Newry are appealing for information following an arson attack on a Peugeot car in Bridge Street in the city.

Constable Rory Warnock explained: “Around 2.20am on Wednesday, 21 January, a red Peugeot 306, parked in a yard just off Bridge Street, was set on fire. Police and NIFRS attended. The car was completely destroyed and damage was also caused to the gable of nearby business premises.

“We would like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity around the area during this time or anyone who has information which  may assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Newry on 101, quoting ref: 6121015.”
