A second financial assistance call has been released by Newry, Mourne and Down Council to assist community groups and organisations.

Financial Assistance 2021-2022 Call 2 invites applications for financial assistance in four different programme areas:

  • Good Relations (£500 - £1500)
  • Police and Community Safety Partnership (£500 - £2000)
  • Let’s Grow Newry, Mourne and Down (£500 - £1500)
  • Suicide Prevention and Emotional Wellbeing (£500 - £1000)

The application period opened 18 March and closes 19 April 2021 at 12 noon.

Good Relations projects should aim to improve Good Relations across the Newry, Mourne & Down District Council area. Applicant projects should aim to address one or more of the four Key Priority themes defined by The Executive Office (TEO) under the Together: Building a United Community (T:BUC) strategy (2013), ie Our children and young people, our shared community, our safe community or our cultural expression.

PCSP fund seeks to encourage local community-based organisations to address local community safety issues through innovative and appropriate local solutions.

Lets Grow aims to promote and encourage community growing by supporting local groups. Support local groups to improve the infrastructure of their growing sites. Enabling educational activities on community growing sites or assisting groups to deliver and actively promote community growing activities.

Suicide Prevention aims to facilitate community engagement in suicide prevention and support projects in relation to Suicide Prevention and Emotional Wellbeing.
