First Minister, Arlene Foster has approved the re-opening of further stores as part of the steps out of lockdown locally.

Car Sales and machinery dealers will be permitted to once again open their doors as will stores selling household appliances and computer and electronic equipment although customer and worker physical distancing will still remain essential.

Ms Foster speaking at the daily press conference at Stormont said "The Executive approved the potential for outdoor retail, which includes examples such as car and vehicle sales as well as agricultural and other large machinery to re-open.

"The expert scientific advice is that the risk of the virus spreading outdoors is much less significant than indoors.

Mentioning mobile phone stores and other outlets the First Minister added "Also permitted to re-open will be stores and retail outlets with lower frequency Customer visits that are accessed directly from the street or via retail parks.

"This will encompass stores selling household electrical appliances, computer and electronic equipment mobile phones and furniture and furnishings."
