The historic Newry Canal was in the television limelight today when well known BBC NI presenter and Weatherman Barra Best took to the iconic waterway for the hour long trip down the waterway from the Albert Basin to Victoria Lock, aboard Newry's latest tall ship, the Dutch Barge Volharding. The weather could hardly have been better for the weather forecaster and film crew with the boat silently and effortlessly gliding over the still water on a beautiful calm sunny Spring evening.
