St Mary's Primary School, Mullaghbawn enjoyed an unforgettable experience when they hosted a  visit by Genesis Quintero, a musician, dancer and campaigner from Colombia. Genesis is also a former Miss Grand Colombia.

The event was courtesy of Beyond Skin a group committed to increasing cultural understanding and promoting peace using the arts

Traditional Arts Partnership were afforded a unique opportunity through the visit to both receive and exchange a cultural experience with Colombia.

Fergal O'Brien from TAPS said "We were honoured to host a visit from such a talented artist  Genesis had a charismatic presence and she had full participation from all the young people who thoroughly enjoyed the Colombian song and dance  Genesis was moved by the music from TAPand singing of Pearse Larkin"

Genesis was welcomed to St Mary's primary by Cara Hoey in her native language of Spanish and presented with a gift by TAP chairperson Alana Flynn.
