Gaeláras Mhic Ardghail are forging links with the Clontarf area of Dublin.
The 40th Éigse Chluain Tarbh, (Clontarf) took place last week and the annual lecture, Léacht na hÉigse, was given by one of the Gaeláras Mhic Ardghail Trustees, Seamus Mac Dhaibhéid.
Seamus spoke about the development of the voluntary Irish language sector in Newry and Mourne over the past three decades.
Pobal Chluain Tarbh plan a series of coach tours to the north later in the year and intend Newry and Mourne as one of their destinations in the early Autumn.
