Hundreds of people from Newry and surrounds, ordinary citizens and politicians alike gathered at Newry Town Hall last night to protest against Israel's attacks on Gaza and show support for the Palestinians.

Air strikes by Israel continue as they warn people in east and north Gaza to leave home.  So far over 200 people, the majority of them civilians and many of them children have been killed by the offensive and all but one of the deaths have been on the Gaza side!

Gaza with a population of 1.6 Million people living in an area of 140 square miles is one of the most densely populated areas on the planet hence the strong possibility that civilians will be the main casualty of any air offensive by Israel.
