These potholes were an accident waiting to happen, particularly with the high volume of traffic that passes through this area. Thankfully, within 24 hours of my contact with Transport NI, the potholes were treated as a matter of urgency and remedial maintenance was carried out, which has reduced the risk of an accident and damage to vehicles. This is not a permanent fix to the issue, and potholes need a full maintenance response, but it will go some way to ensuring better safety for local motorists as a short term measure.”
