A South Armagh girl has become the first harpist to reach the final of Teen Star, an online UK talent competition that attracts over 8,000 acts each year.

Niamh Noade.

Twelve year old Niamh Noade a pupil of St Paul's High School and a member of the Traditional Arts Partnership is the only Irish artist to reach the final of the competition and she is asking the public to vote for her.

You can vote at TEENSTARCOMPETITION.CO.UK

Teen Star is the UK's largest singing & dance competition, exclusively for teens and pre-teens and the final of the competition will be broadcast live this Thursday 3 December at 7pm on Facebook to thousands of people across Ireland and the UK.

There’s normally a Final in Birmingham with ticket sales funding the event but this year due to the pandemic there are no ticket sales and organisers have advised finalists that it’s a public vote to carry the finalists and there will be a charge of £1 per vote.

Niamh got to the final with her entry ‘Imagine’  by John Lennon which you can view below.

Niamh sings a beautiful tribute to John Condon at his grave in 2019.
