The 2018 Iúr Cinn Fleadh will take place in Newry from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th of September 2018.

Planning for the festival is already underway and this year organisers are appealing for fresh faces to join the existing team to ensure that this years festival is even better than the 2017 one.

Last years festival saw spectacular events including the debut of Newry Trad Youth Orchestra, scenic tall ship trips, dancing on greens around the city, a brilliant Trad Trail around local bars, spectacular gigs in Newry Market, the Musical Icon Award and much more.

Already there are big plans to host new events bringing the cream of folk and traditional talent to Newry City in 2018.

If you would like to be a part of this years Fleadh please come along to their first meeting at 8pm on Wednesday 17 January in the NRC Centre 28a Monaghan Street, Newry.

A Street Collection on the Friday of the fleadh raised £139.74 and €8.78 and the organisers would like to thank all who contributed.
