Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Laura Devlin said, “The Schools Poster Competition is held annually to find environmental themed posters to feature in the Council’s environmental calendar. It has been a particularly difficult year for schools, but I am so delighted to see that schools across the district were not deterred from entering this competition which has been held annually since 2004.  We had a fantastic response from primary and secondary schools across the district. Sixty schools took part and the quality and creativity of the entries received was excellent, giving the judges a tough job selecting this year’s winners”.

“Well done to all pupils on your achievement of being selected from so many entries. I hope your colourful posters will be a constant reminder to every one of us of the need to ‘protect and respect’ our environment” she added.
