Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Wayne Boylan in Warrenpoint in 2019. It follows coverage of the investigation into the murder on the crime detection, prevention and awareness programme, Crime NI on Monday night.
Thirty seven year-old Wayne Boylan was murdered in the Lower Dromore Road on 18 January 2019.
Detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch investigating the murder made two arrests yesterday morning in Warrenpoint and one in Belfast last night 7 December.
The two men, aged 63 and 67, were arrested in the Warrenpoint area on suspicion of murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of firearms with intent.
The 54-year-old man detained in the Belfast area was arrested on suspicion of Murder, GBH with intent, Possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life.
All three men are currently in custody, assisting with enquiries.
