With Easter holidays fast approaching, Translink is reminding people to only travel if their journey is necessary, in line with the current NI Executive restrictions in place.

Easter timetables which will operate on Easter Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 April across the Metro/Glider, Ulsterbus and NI Railways network are now available to view on our website or journey planner WWW.TRANSLINK.CO.UK

Translink’s Director of Service Operations Ian Campbell said, “With the current restrictions, customers are reminded that public transport services are provided for essential journeys and we appeal to the public not to be tempted to travel long distances to parks, beaches or beauty spots at this time.

“Our passengers have welcomed and been reassured by our efforts to keep them safe throughout this pandemic. We will continue to use enhanced cleaning regimes using the latest cleaning technology and long-lasting anti-viral products providing ongoing protection which means our fleet and facilities are cleaner than ever.

“Whilst vaccinations continue to be rolled out, we are still in a critical period of this pandemic and we would remind everyone travelling with us, to wear a face covering (unless exempt), practice good hand hygiene, socially distance and use contactless payments to minimise interaction, so together, we can keep everyone safe and limit the spread of the virus.

“With the safe and gradual removal of the restrictions, we look forward to welcoming people back on board to reconnect with family, friends and for special days out.  Translink is ready to play its part in  NI’s recovery, ready for our passengers too when restrictions ease to allow people to get back to employment, education, healthcare, retail and leisure opportunities to restore vibrancy to our town and city centres and other districts”, Ian concluded.

Passengers are advised to check their specific timetable information in advance on the Translink website or by using Translink’s Journey Planner.
