Two men have been arrested after a Police vehicle was rammed in the Catherine Street area of Newry yesterday Thursday October 3 shortly before 4pm.

 Chief Inspector Joe McMinn said, “ A 19-year-old male was arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving whilst unfit, possession of a Class B drug, and possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply. A second male, aged 36, was arrested on suspicion of possession and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug. Both have been released on bail pending further enquiries. Two young children were seen making off from the vehicle. Police enquiries are continuing.
