Police are appealing for information following a report of a damage only hit and run incident in the Fountain Street area of Bessbrook at the end of November.

Speaking about the reported incident Constable Tom Nugent said: “Sometime between 4.00 pm on Tuesday, 27 November and 3.00 pm on Wednesday, 28 November, it was reported that damage had been caused to the driver’s side of a Volkswagen Polo.

“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam footage of the area between Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th November to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 699 28/11/18.”

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
