U16.5 Championship Semi Final

The U16.5 defeated a gallant Naomh Monnina Killeavy in the Championship semi final on Wednesday night past.

Craobh Rua team put in a strong all round display in what were at times extreme weather conditions. The game started on an even keel but as the game processed the young Craobh Rua hurlers worked well together to break down their opponents defensive set up and place themselves in the U16 Final for the third year running. Training continues on Sunday morning 12 sharp and Wednesday 7pm.

The Final has been listed for the 12th of August in the Athletic Grounds. Further details will be released once fixture confirmed.

Under 12 Hurling Blitz

Derry Blitz: 7th Sept:
We will be leaving the club by bus at 7:30am for the blitz in Derry. We will be returning to the club at approx 6pm. Players should have a packed lunch for the day and suitable clothing for before/between games. There is room for 12 adults so please confirm if you are travelling up. Cost to cover bus is £5 each. Training again this Monday at 6:30 in preparation for the blitz.


An Underage (U8 U10) hurling Blitz hosted by St Malachys Portadown will take place next Sunday the 8th Of September. Craobh Rua hope to be represented at it. Coaches and mentors of those underage teams going will contact hurlers and all appropriate others with travel arrangements.

Anyone wishing to help in a coaching or support capacity with our Underage Activities is welcome to approach a team coordinator or Committee member to discuss. We welcome any support or help with all our club activities.

Craobh Rua Hurling Club encourage anyone who wishes to help with any aspect of our Club Activities to speak to an under age mentor or Committee member.We will be happy to give all appropriate support to any individual who wishes to become involved in our activities.


All involved with Craobh Rua Camlocha extend our congratulations to Club hurler Conor Mc Kevitt Silver Medallist in 2019 World Skills International Competition in Russia. This huge achievement by Conor gained national and international interest and publicity.
The 45th WorldSkills international competition took place from 22 – 27 August 2019. Conor was part of Team UK that travelled to Kazan, Russia to compete alongside over 1,300 young people from 63 countries. The bi-annual WorldSkills event is the largest international skills competition of its kind bringing young people from across the globe together to compete for medals in their chosen skill. It saw competitors perform across 56 vocational and specialist skills against international peers. The Team won four medals, two of which were gold and 15 medallions of excellence.

Under 21 Armagh Hurling Championship

Cu Chullains v Craobh Rua takes place on Tuesday 10th September under lights in Davitts Park, Lurgan. Players will be notified of further details via manager Brian Murphy.

Fundraising Collection

Craobh Rua cancelled their annual ‘Bucket’ Collection in Camlough village last Saturday from due to health and safety concerns about the ongoing traffic works and traffic movement management.We intend to rearrange the fundraising event in the not to distant future.
