Over 200 people took part in the annual Fergal Caraher Memorial run at St Patrick's GFC, Culyhanna.The event included a 10K& 5K Run and 5K Walk.

Newry and Armagh MP Mickey Brady presented the winners with their trophies and medals. 

The fun filled family and community  event commentates the death of Fergal in 1990 and raises funds for the Southern Area Hospice.

The overall winner of the Run was Eoin Martin whilst Roisin McShane was the female winner. Kevin Turley and Jack Reel  were the winners of their respective 5k categories.

Speaking at the presentation and buffet which took place in St Patricks GFC, the Newry and Armagh MP praised all involved with organising the commemorative fund raising event. He also commended the Caraher family and friends for their dignity in remembering the late Fergal in what he described as a fitting and appropriate manner.
