Sunday saw the club hold a very successful AGM with close to 40 people in attendance. Outgoing Chairman Mick Mackin began the meeting by asking Gerry Barry to lead all those in attendance in a short prayer for our friends and members who passed away this year. Mick went on to pay tribute to everyone to helped out around the club over the past 12 months, including managers, players, parents of our underage footballers, committee members, fundraisers, lotto sellers and anyone else who helped in any way. Mick also thanked all club sponsors for their continued and generous support of the club. Club treasurer Lynda Griffen then gave a comprehensive run down of the club’s finances and echoed the thanks to all those who contribute to the running of the club.

Last Man Standing

Our senior men are organising a Last Man Standing competition beginning in the New Year. The entry fee is £10.00 with a first prize of £1000 up for grabs. The first week of the competition will start on 11 January and anybody wanting to enter please contact any of our senior men or committee members.

Armagh GAA Club Draw

The very successful Armagh GAA Club draw is running again in 2020. The draw takes place over 4 months - March, April, May and June - with 16 prizes on offer each month. The first prize each month is £10k, right down to a 16th prize of £200.

Tickets are priced at £100 each with £80 from every ticket going directly to the club after we reach our minimum target of sales. They can be bought by paying the £100 up front or 4 monthly instalments of £25 per month.

Tickets can be purchased from any of our committee members and the more tickets we sell, the more money the club raises. We are encouraging all our club members, families and friends to purchase a ticket either individually or maybe as a group of 4 friends or family members clubbing together at £25 each.

It is a brilliant opportunity to raise much needed funds for the club whilst also being in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.

Last week’s winning lotto numbers were 7, 9, 15 & 32. There were no jackpot winners and two x match 3 winners. The jackpot now stands at £5,100.

Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year

On behalf of the committee of Shane O’Neill’s I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone associated with the club a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year - to all those who sponsored the club in any way this year, to all those who contributed in any way to the successful running of the club, to all the local papers, websites, social media outlets and photographers who continued to promote the club, to everyone who bought lotto tickets and all those who helped with our fundraising efforts throughout the year, to all our Cairde members, to all our players (senior and underage) and their families and to anyone else involved with the club in any way.
