Artist Alistair Livingstone hosted a guided tour of his 'Designs for the Theatre' exhibition in the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre, Newry last weekend when he talked about some of his projects around the world, exploring the journey from the initial concept to the final production. Alistair also talked about his interest in alternative forms of staging including 'in the round' to visitors to the centre.

In over forty years working for films and the theatre, Alistair has designed Ballets, Operas and Dance works for companies as far away as Sydney, Tokyo and Buenos Aires.

Venues where he worked include Dublin's Abbey Theatre; New National Theatre Tokyo; The Royal Ballet and the Australian Ballet.
