Kaleidoscope’s new Imagine Arts Centre programme will be launching this January at the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre in Newry with two exciting new classes for older people – Ukulele Band and Solo Singing. It comes just a month after their success in the Big Lottery People’s Million’s competition

The Imagine Arts Centre is a unique programme of arts classes and events exclusively for older people. Participation in the classes is free of charge and open to anyone over the age of 60 but places are limited so don’t hang around!

Ukulele Band

If you’ve ever dreamed about learning to play a musical instrument or you’re keen to try something new then this is the course for you. Learn to play and sing with one of the most fun and enjoyable musical instruments in the world - the Ukulele. This is a beginner’s course so everyone is welcome!

The course will be led by professional instructors Vessie and Nikolay Ivanov and the instruments will be provided. The course begins Friday 23rd January 3pm-5pm at the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre.

Solo Singing

If you’re a member of a choir or you just love to sing, here’s your chance to improve and develop your voice while learning how to perfect a song of your own. Professional singing instructor Vessie Ivanov will lead participants through a range of techniques to improve their singing voice while helping them to develop their own individual song. Whether you’re an experienced singer or a complete beginner everyone is welcome! The course begins Monday 19th January 3pm-5pm. Sean Hollywood Arts Centre.

Registration for Solo Singing and Ukulele will take place on Friday 16th January in the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre at 3pm. Just come along and sign up.
